Reducing Binge Drinking in Russian/Slavic Communities Project (RBDP)

The Reducing Binge Drinking in Russian/Slavic Communities Project (RBDP) is a part of the National Drinking Strategy targeted Russian/ Slavic speaking youth. The Project adopts preventive, informative and consultative agendas delivered on a platform of a non-judgmental view of alcohol use from a health perspective. At the same time, the RBDP acknowledges the social implication of a tendency towards increasing consumption of alcohol by the youth. The cultural and social context of such phenomenon should be address to the CLD youth people within a serious cross-cultural framework.

All RBDP research strategies, activities and events are evidence-based. The RBDP is committed to developing, disseminating and utilizing best practice approaches and strategies in regards to reduce binge drinking among Russian speaking communities, especially young people of age 14-25 y.o. Alongside with the National Strategy targeted an alcohol use by the youth, the Project takes the consultative, preventive, informative and inclusive approach, working in partnership with volunteering groups and key internal and external stakeholders to develop best quality policies, programs and service delivery to Russian/ Slavic Communities , timely relevant and appropriate.
