A Russian community school in Brunswick, it has a long-standing association with the community of the Holy Protection. Its history goes back to the second wave of Russian migrants but was resurrected more recently to cater for new migrants coming to Australia. Students’ ages span infants right through to high school, and are taught reading, writing, about literature and culture, as well as religion. The school also organises events prominent in Russian culture such as Knowledge Day, Mothers and Fathers Day, on its own or in collaboration with other Russian community schools from across Melbourne.
