Radio 3ZZZ

The program was founded in 1985 as part of the Ethnic Australia Network, and since 1989 has been part of the Ethnic Public Broadcasting Association of Victoria. The Russian program on radio station 3ZZZ is the only source of independent journalism in Russian in Melbourne. It is in the hands and under the control of the Russian community.

In our programs we cover events in Russia and in the world, we inform about events of the Russian community, about events in Melbourne, and we have conversations with interesting people. Russian folk, pop and classical music is played. The federal government and the Victorian government provide a small amount of technical support for our radio station, but our group is obligated to collect a certain amount of donations to pay for the possibility of a Russian Program. For this reason we collect annual membership fees during the November Radiothon: the membership fee for a year is $15 for working people and $10 for students and pensioners. The Committee of the Russian Program and all the presenters work only as volunteers!

We invite all members of our Russian community to become members of our radio program. On questions of joining the Russian group 3ZZZ radio, call immediately after the program on 9415 1923 or in the office of the radio station during working hours by phone 9415 1928. Listen to our Russian radio program on the Wave 92.3 MHZ FM; join the radio group; participate in our broadcasts. Transmission is twice a week: on Wednesday-at 8 pm and on Friday-at 9 pm. The leader of the group is Oleg Bydanov.
