Program Support Officer

 

 

  • Fixed-Term part-time position (2 days per week; 3 days are negotiable, until 2027)
  • Fluent Russian and English essential
  • Salary: 70,168 K base rate per annum (pro rata) + salary packaging + super + birthday leave
  • Hybrid role, working from the office and from home

 

About the organisation:

 

The Russian Ethnic Representative Council of Victoria (RERC/Russian Aged Care), a charity founded in 1984, is the leading community-services organisation representing the interests of Russian-speaking people living in Victoria. RERC provides a range of services funded by state and federal governments to support elderly people, people with disabilities and disadvantaged people with CALD background. Our current programs include the Home Care Packages Program (HCP), Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), brokerage services in aged care, CALD programs and various community awareness programs. RERC also acts as an umbrella for a range of community organisations to provide a platform for various cultural initiatives and community events.

 

The role:

 

Reporting to the General Manager, Community Care, this role provides high quality customer service to clients and external stakeholders and administrative support to RERC staff. The role is the first point of contact for consumer and stakeholder enquiries, contributes to month-end reporting activities and provides logistical and office support to RERC’s programs and back-of-house functions.

Among other things, the Program Support Officer will

  • Provide a diverse range of administrative support to RERC programs and back-of-house functions, such as data entry, mailouts, invoice generation and more.
  • Manage RERC’s main phone line and act as first point of contact for stakeholders and the public.
  • Contribute to month-end reporting, data uploads and the creation of reports.
  • Support back-of-house functions like HR and Quality & Risk.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for trainings and meetings.

 

Skills and experience:

 

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Experience in an administrative support role.
  • Fluent English and Russian.
  • A high level of competence in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and CRMs and other software.
  • Great customer-service skills, a positive and upbeat demeanour.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, be flexible and adaptable and prioritise competing tasks.
