Russian Ethnic Representative Council of Victoria (RERC/ Russian Aged Care) is a charity and the leading community organisation founded in 1984. We provide a range of services with a strong focus on people with CALD background. Our current programs in aged care space include HCP/Support at Home, CHSP, ACVVS, and brokerage services. RERC also acts as an umbrella for a range of community organisations to provide a platform for various cultural initiatives and community events. RERC has seen impressive growth over the last 4 years and is looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our team and support our continued development.

 

About the Role

 

Working in partnership with the broader Finance team and other internal stakeholders, you will add value through effective budgeting & forecasting, management reporting, financial modelling, planning and analysis. You will build effective working relationships across the organisation and provide accurate and insightful information to inform decision making and improvement opportunities. By utilising your modelling and costing skills you will help improve efficiencies and processes across the organisation. You will understand the importance of partnering with the business and utilising relevant information to influence positive outcomes.

 

About You

 

As an experienced Management Accountant, you will be able to demonstrate your budgeting and reporting skills in a similar role where you have had success providing critical information for decision making and improving processes. To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Solid financial analyst, business analyst or accounting experience.
  • 5 years’ of first-hand experience in planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling, financial reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills, able to build, maintain and continuously improve budgeting and costing models.
  • Excellent computer and specialist software skills including MYOB/Xero/Calxa (or comparable applications), Google Apps and Office 365.
  • Excellent presentation skills (both written and oral).
  • Be approachable and have ability to establish effective working relationships with people of all working styles and backgrounds.
  • CPA/CA qualification (or progress towards) and previous experience in aged care or disability sector is desirable
  • Fluent Russian will be an advantage but is not essential
