Social Support Individual
Social Support Individual is assistance provided by a volunteer to an individual in a home which is primarily directed towards meeting the person’s need for social contact in order to participate in community life.
The visits are regular, either weekly or fortnightly and purely social, with the intention of developing an ongoing friendship and social connectedness.
Our coordinators carefully matches volunteer with the client based on client’s interests, background, location and life experiences to provide companionship and support through engaging conversations. Volunteers may visit the client and engage in a range of activities with him/her or help with shopping or medical visits (no home duties or personal care)
